In working with a customer on an escalation call, it was discovered that the Event Registration Reservation "timer" does not actually reserve a spot when a user begins the registration process for an event on the registration form/ticket selection page.

However, the timer does display on the page. This causes confusion for the registrant as it appears that their registration seat is reserved when, in fact, it is not until that user completes the registration form, makes ticket selections and continues to checkout.

This logic completely defeats the purpose of using the maximum number of registrants feature and results in customer members/registrations frustrations for losing out on an available seat they thought they had reserved.
